20 Years of Building Clarity – Anniversary Logo for DBI Consultants
DBI Consultants is a distinguished US-based building consultant company. From Project Monitoring, Cost Estimation, Damage Evaluation, to extensive Scheduling Analysis, DBI provides professionally curated services in the areas of construction. In honor of their 20th anniversary, our team was asked to design a special logo to celebrate their huge milestone. The logo we created will serve as a prominent visual element across DBI’s digital platforms and print collateral. Additionally, we were also responsible for crafting a beverage design for their anniversary event. From developing new logo concepts to packaging designs, I led the project in all phases.
For each project, the company takes a high level of analytical, meticulous, and research-driven approach, for the nature of the industry requires hard expertise and accuracy. At the core of their mission, DBI aims to simplify complexity and bring creative and innovative solutions to each client they serve. This ethos served as the driving force behind our design project, inspiring us to create an identity that truly reflects DBI's expertise and dedication.


Anniversary Logo
Touchpoint
The dynamic 2D/3D feature is the main touchpoint of this project. While maintaining the integrity of their original logo, the proposed concept highlights their core values (confidence, steadiness, positivity, and innovative problem-solving).
The three-dimensionality in this design represents “building construction”, the essence of their industry, while also revealing the significant milestone behind the company. The placement of the DBI and the number 20 strikes a harmonious balance, ensuring neither element overpowers the other. In its entirety, the final logo lockup embodies ingenuity, stability, and a celebratory spirit for their remarkable journey.
Challenge/approach
The primary challenge of this project was to work within the constraints of DBI's existing logo, while creating a fresh design concept.
Our approach was to create visual devices that serve as extensions of the original logo lockup. The following sketches demonstrate each external design component and distinct message such as “Emphasizing Core Strength of DBI”, “Constructing Success”, “Marking Time” and “2d and 3d Dynamic”.
